Product Owner

Location: Pune, India

Department: Product

Experience: 4+ years

About MaxIQ
MaxIQ empowers Go-To-Market teams to improve sales execution through an AI-powered platform that brings together customer intelligence, forecasting, account planning, and revenue workflows.
We are building products that solve complex enterprise problems across sales, customer success, and revenue operations.

About the Role
MaxIQ is looking for an experienced Product Owner / Senior Business Analyst who can translate product ideas and customer requirements into clear, actionable requirements for engineering.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, QA, Customer Success, and other stakeholders to take initiatives from initial requirements through delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding complex business workflows, asking the right questions, identifying edge cases, and turning ambiguity into well-defined product requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with Product leadership and stakeholders to understand product requirements, customer problems, and business objectives.
  • Translate high-level product ideas into detailed PRDs, user stories, workflows, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring engineering always has clearly defined and prioritized work.
  • Break large product initiatives into smaller, well-scoped features and user stories that can be effectively delivered by engineering.
  • Conduct requirement discussions with customers, Customer Success, Sales, and internal stakeholders when deeper business understanding is required.
  • Identify edge cases, dependencies, permissions, data requirements, and workflow implications before development begins.
  • Lead or actively participate in backlog refinement and grooming sessions with Engineering and Design.
  • Work closely with Engineering throughout development to clarify requirements and resolve functional questions quickly.
  • Collaborate with Design to ensure product workflows and user experiences align with business requirements.
  • Partner with QA to ensure test scenarios adequately cover functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Validate completed features against expected product behaviour before release.
  • Coordinate across Product, Engineering, QA, and GTM teams to ensure features move smoothly from requirements through development and release.
  • Maintain clear documentation for product functionality, workflows, and important business rules.
  • Support Customer Success, Sales, and Professional Services with product knowledge and clarification of product behaviour.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience, including at least 2+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, or similar product-focused role.
  • Strong experience converting ambiguous business requirements into detailed, engineering-ready specifications.
  • Excellent understanding of user stories, acceptance criteria, workflow modelling, and product requirement documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think through complex workflows and edge cases.
  • Ability to work closely with engineers and comfortably discuss APIs, integrations, data models, system behaviour, and technical constraints.
  • Strong understanding of modern SaaS products and software development processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where requirements may evolve as we learn from customers.
  • Strong ownership mindset—you should be able to take a requirement from initial discussion through successful delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working on B2B SaaS products.
  • Experience with Sales Tech, Revenue Operations, CRM, or Customer Success platforms.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other enterprise CRM systems.
  • Experience with products involving complex workflows, permissions, integrations, analytics, or enterprise hierarchies.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
You will be successful in this role when:
  • Engineering has clear requirements before development starts.
  • Product requirements have fewer gaps and missed edge cases.
  • Questions and blockers during development are resolved quickly.
  • The product backlog remains organized and execution-ready.
  • Features delivered by Engineering closely match the intended business and customer requirements.
  • Product, Engineering, QA, and GTM teams remain aligned throughout the development lifecycle.
If you enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity, understanding complex customer problems, and working closely with engineering teams to turn ideas into great products, we’d love to hear from you.
