THE ROLE

Matific is seeking a Senior Software Engineers experienced in server-side development to join Matific and build our web team in our Colombo office, as part of our cutting-edge global web group.


This will involve working closely with our product and development teams to create an easy-to-use teacher interface, bring joy and happiness to students worldwide and build and enhance our public websites. Given the start-up nature of the company, you will need to be flexible and inventive in the delivery of your outcomes.


This role is based out of our office in Colombo Sri Lanka

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Building web-based educational software, for teachers and students using Python and Django 
  • Develop API’s and modules in collaboration with the other teams
  • Participate in peer code reviews


  • 3+ Years of experience as a server-side/backend developer
  • Proficiency in at least one server-side / backend language like Java, Python, Golang, Ruby, NodeJS 
  • Experience in a web application environment would be advantageous
  • CS degree with top grades and/or top abilities
  • Team player with a 'can-do' attitude
  • Passion for quality
  • Self-learner
  • Experience with cloud platforms would be advantageous
