The Role

Matific is seeking Senior Software Engineers - Game Development (Unity3D) to build our first game development team in our Colombo office, as part of our cutting edge existing global EdTech group.

This will involve working closely with our product and development teams to create interactive 3D games to make learning Maths an interesting experience to students worldwide. Given the start-up nature of the company, you will need to be flexible and inventive in the delivery of your outcomes.

This role is based out of our office in Colombo Sri Lanka

Responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for frontend and backend design and implementation of a brand NEW product!
  • Work as part of an agile team, delivering great quality.
  • Design, implement and innovate features, with cutting-edge technologies.
  • Collaborating with other teams inside Matific, such as: R&D, product, Marketing and Content and Game designers located in Israel and globally
  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent - A MUST
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development (Server and client) - A Must
  • At least 3+ years of experience in Game Development with Unity2D/3D - A Must
  • Good understanding of game development technologies - A Must
  • Proven Experience in building games using the Unity game engine - A MUST 
  • Experience building user interfaces for medium/large games and web applications - Big Advantage
  • Experience designing and developing server-side for games and client-server communication - Big Advantage
  • Experience with multi-platform gaming IOS / Android / WebGL
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
