Senior Full Stack Engineer

Material Bank is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python, GO, microservices architecture, AWS, API development, Postgres SQL, Django, and Kafka. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for building new internal applications such as lead generation, billing engine, and integrations. You will work closely with a small team parallel to our main engineering group, with the freedom to create solutions that optimize and automate business processes within the company. 

This position must sit hybrid and/or onsite in the Boca Raton, FL area. 

What you’ll do: 

• Develop new internal applications, including leads generation, billing engine, and integrations, using Python, GO, and other relevant technologies. 
• Design and implement microservices architecture to ensure scalability and flexibility.
• Utilize AWS services for hosting, deployment, and management of applications.
• Develop and maintain APIs for seamless communication between different systems and services.
• Design and manage databases using Postgres SQL for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Utilize Django, FastAPIor Flask frameworks for rapid development of web applications. Implement message queueing systems using Kafka for asynchronous communication between services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications as needed.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and practices. 

What you’ll bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. 
• 5 + years of experience in software development, with a focus on full stack development.
• Proficiency in Python, GO, and other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with microservices architecture and design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.
• Strong knowledge of API development and integration.
• Proficiency in Postgres SQL for database design and management.
• Experience with Django framework for web application development.
• Familiarity with Kafka or similar message queueing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
