💼 The Opportunity
Join our engineering team as a Full Stack Developer and play a pivotal role in building and scaling Mastroke's platform. You'll work on exciting challenges—from crafting intuitive user experiences to designing robust backend systems and creating innovative Shopify integrations.
A critical aspect ofyour role will be developing Shopify apps and integrations. You'll build solutions that extend Shopify's capabilities, streamline
🎯 What You'll Do
- Build End-to-End Features: Develop and ship features from concept to production across our web application, APIs, and background services
- Develop ShopifyApps & Integrations: Design and build custom Shopify apps using Admin API, GraphQL, webhooks, and app extensions. Implement OAuth flows, billing integrations, and multi-store management
- Design Scalable Systems: Work with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM to architect data models and optimize queries for multi-tenant environments
- Implement Integrations: Build secure connections with third-party platforms (Google Calendar, Zoom, Shopify) using OAuth and modern encryption standards
- Develop Background Services: Create reliable job queues and workers for email automation, calendar syncing, webhook processing, and Shopify data synchronization (using Redis and BullMQ)
- Ensure Security: Implement role-based access control, authentication flows, and adhere to platform security requirements
- Collaborate & Ship: Write clean, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and work with product teams to deliver features that drive user engagement
✅ What We're Looking For
Must-Have Skills
- Frontend Development: 3+ years with React and Next.js, with strong skills in building responsive, user-friendly interfaces (Tailwind CSS experience preferred)
- Backend Development: Strong proficiency in Node.js and RESTful API design (NestJS experience is a bonus)
- Shopify Development: Experience buildingShopify apps or integrations—familiarity with ShopifyAdmin API, GraphQL, webhooks, and OAuth flows
- Database Skills: Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM
- Background Processing: Working knowledge of Redis and job queue systems like BullMQ
- Authentication & Security: Experience implementing OAuth, session management, and authorization flows (NextAuth.js is a plus)
- Modern Tooling: Comfortable working with pnpm workspaces, Turborepo, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Deployment: Experience deploying applications on platforms like Vercel, Railway, or Cloudflare

- Multi-tenant SaaS experience
- Published Shopify apps in the App Store
- Shopify Polaris design system knowledge
- Shopify Plus features and APIs
- Calendar/scheduling engine development
- Other e-commerce platform experience (WooCommerce, BigCommerce)

📋 Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience: 3-5 years in full-stack development with production-level TypeScript/JavaScript applications
- Communication: Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Work Style: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments
