Title and Summary

Associate Analyst, Analystics & Metrics

Overview:

Associate Analyst [L9] role in Data Management team wherein the team member would need to work on data management, labelling, categorization and analytics

Role:

Accurately enter customer and account data from source documents within defined turnaround times.

Compile, verify, and organize information according to established priorities to prepare data for system entry.

Review data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency, and resolve discrepancies where possible.

Research and obtain missing information required to complete records and documentation.

Apply defined data extraction methodologies, procedures, and quality standards.

Generate reports, maintain records, perform data backups, and store completed work in designated repositories.

Respond to information requests and retrieve relevant files and records as required.

Handle sensitive and confidential data with professionalism while adhering to defined processes and controls.

Ensure compliance with data integrity, quality, security, and governance policies.

Maintain proper use of office equipment and promptly address or escalate technical issues.

Support Mastercard's Data Governance initiatives by applying foundational knowledge of data management principles.

Assist in maintaining policies, standards, guidelines, training materials, and governance documentation related to data assets.

Contribute to governance activities aimed at identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating data-related risks and opportunities.

Support governance frameworks, controls, and processes to promote responsible data usage and regulatory compliance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal, regulatory, and operational data management requirements.

Assist in monitoring governance operations to improve efficiency, quality, and compliance outcomes.

Handles 5-6 projects simultaneously, showcasing effective prioritization, cross-functional coordination, and increased responsibility

Demonstrate strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Prepare clear reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings effectively.

Utilize web-based applications, internet tools, and Microsoft Office applications proficiently.

Maintain exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills while managing multiple priorities.

Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet established deadlines.

Exhibit professionalism, accountability, punctuality, and a results-oriented mindset.

Communicate effectively and collaborate successfully within large and diverse teams.

Build foundational knowledge of data governance, data management practices, and organizational standards.

Willingness to work in India night shifts and/or a 24x7 operational environment aligned to the US holiday calendar.

Ability to manage assigned tasks independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Experience in data entry, data processing, or related operational activities is preferred.

 Perform data entry, validation, and analysis activities with high accuracy and quality standards.

 Utilize Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, and Power BI to analyze data and generate actionable insights.

 Conduct internal quality control reviews to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance.

 Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, resolve issues, and improve processes.

 Prepare reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business decision-making.

 Leverage web-based tools, MS Office applications, and data management platforms effectively.

 Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to deliver projects within established timelines.

 Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills while engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

 Coach, mentor, and support team members to drive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

 Exercise sound judgment, decision-making, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

 Utilize knowledge bases, tools, and best practices to solve business and operational challenges efficiently.

 Hold a Bachelor's degree (BSc/BCom/BA/Diploma) or equivalent qualification; relevant certifications in analytics or computer applications are an added advantage.

 Demonstrate flexibility to work in India night shifts, a 24x7 operational model, and align with the US holiday calendar as required.
