As a software development engineer, you’ll develop advanced technologies and applications that are revolutionizing payments.

Role:
• Hands-on developer who writes high quality, secure code for a small to mid-sized component or feature that is modular, functional and testable.
• Contribute to all parts of the software’s development including design, development, documentation, and testing.
• Have strong ownership of your team’s software and are deep in the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties and dependencies including hardware, operating system, and build.
• Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment.

All About You
• Overall, 3-6 years of career experience into Java Development

• Proficiency with Java SDK 11 or greater

• Experience in Front End Angular will be advantageous

• Has ability to write secure code in three or more languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, SQL)

• Familiar with secure coding standards (e.g., OWASP, CWE, SEI CERT)

• Understands and implements standard branching (e.g., Gitflow) and peer review practices

• Apply tools (e.g., Sonar, Checkmarx ) and techniques to scan and measure code quality and anti-patterns as part of development activity

• Understands and builds test code at unit level, service level, and integration level to ensure code and functional coverage

• Understands the use of basic design patterns (e.g., factory, adaptor, singleton, composite, observer, strategy, inversion of control)

• Understands requirement analysis being essential part of delivering value to our customers and partners and participate in elaboration, prioritization, and effort estimation

• Understands different SDLC practices (Waterfall/Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) and the delivery situations they are used for

• Understands the basic engineering principles used in building and running mission critical software capabilities (security, customer experience, testing, operability, simplification, service-oriented architecture)

• Familiar with different application patterns to implement different types of business processes (e.g., APIs, event-driven-services, batch-services, web-applications, big data)

• Understands Continuous Integration (CI) and Delivery (CD) concepts, and capabilities to support automation, pipelines, virtualization, and containerization

• Understands functional and non-functional testing types to elaborate and estimate test efforts

• Considerate, polite, fun-loving, collaborative

• Must be high-energy, detail-oriented, proactive and have the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.

• Experience of Tomcat, shell scripting, JSON, multi-threading, Maven, Linux, SQL, Pivotal, Kafka and Spring framework tech stack

• Expertise with Eclipse or IntelliJ and ability to compile, deploy and execute code artefacts

• Experience with cloud software development (PCF)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
