Title and Summary

Senior Software Engineer-1

Job Overview: Provides support of applications software through programming, analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions. Researches alternative technical solutions for changing business needs. Major Accountabilities:
• Participate in team prioritization discussions with Product/Business stakeholders
• Estimate and own delivery tasks (design, dev, test, deployment,configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements
• Automate build, operate, and run aspects of software
• Drive code/design/process trade-off discussions within their team when required
• Report status and manage risks within their primary application/service
• Drive integration of services focusing on customer journey and experience
• Perform demos/acceptance discussions in interacting with Product owners
• Understands operational and engineering experience and actively works to improve experience and metrics in the ownership area
• Develop a complete understanding of end-to-end technical architecture and dependency systems
• Drive adoption of technology standards and opinionated frameworks, and review coding, test, and automation work of team members
• Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members
• Identify opportunities to improve an overall process and trim waste
• Share and seek knowledge within their Guild/Program to drive reuse and productivity
• Contribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place and actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.
• Support collection and reporting of project and software metrics.
Education: •Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience. Knowledge / Experience: •Thorough knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required. •Must demonstrate MC Core Competencies. •6 to 9 years of experience in software engineering field.
Skills/ Abilities: •Knowledge of Telecom applications CSG Singleview Billing and Intermediate applications •Must be high-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment. •Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities. •Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – with strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills. •Ability to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.

Overview
•This position is for a member of the MasterCard development team focusing on Quality Assurance and Testing of solutions for MCBS (MasterCard consolidated Billing system).
• The MasterCard Consolidated Billing System (MCBS) centralizes the billing function for key MasterCard products and services into a single system. The system provides customers with detailed billing information for processing, switching and all other services.

•Experienced professional with a firm knowledge of application support, testing and quality practices and protocols that enable the individual to deliver reports according to defined protocol, while meeting established timelines. Document issues as they arise and monitors resolutions. To work as an integral member of the project testing and development teams.

•Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience.

•Experience in Agile using Behavior driven development framework.
•Technical Skills in Unix Scripting, SQL, Database, Basic Mainframe Skills (Like JCL, SORT).
•Knowledge of Telecom applications CSG Singleview Billing and Intermediate.
