Overview
• Mastercard Cross-Border Services Development Team is developing products to displace cash by creating simpler and more secure ways to transact for everyone, everywhere via fast, secure, and other innovative solutions.
• The purpose of this job is to be a Manager on a team that is focused on developing new or enhanced initiatives and responsible for delivery of high quality software solutions using agile methodology.
• Responsible for leading a team of IT Professionals for the development and delivery of quality software solutions in a timely and cost effective manner.

Role
• Successfully lead definition, development and delivery of major cross-department initiatives with broad scope and long-term business implications.
• Partner with business to identify innovative solutions and drive strategic decisions. Develop business case in alignment with the MasterCard objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and direction to software development teams in the development of Cross-Border Services product and platform.
• Work closely with product and architecture teams on product definition, technical design, and overall execution for the team.
• Develop and deliver solutions as part of a scrum team and including design documents and proof of concepts.
• Ensure the project or effort is adequately staffed; trained and managed.
• Ensure personnel have appropriate skills and behaviours; and effectively communicate performance results; as necessary, managing each effort within approved manpower and budget guidelines.


All About You
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Hands on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, Microservice and Oracle SQL development.
• Knowledge of cloud native development such as pivotal cloud foundry, AWS etc.
• Extensive experience in designing and developing consumer facing products is a must have.
• Experience with software development methodologies, particularly with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Management skills to coach other co-workers utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires ability to provide overall business or technical project planning for product enhancements.
