The Role
// As part of our continued growth into new regions, we are building new functionality and onboarding customers and partners at an ever-increasing rate. Our Customer Facing Applications team is essential in developing and maintaining our platform's web and mobile app interfaces that enable our riders to manage their accounts and pay for their journeys. This includes buying tickets, topping up their accounts, and viewing travel history.
We seek an experienced SDET to join our QA team and play a vital role in enhancing software quality.

Responsibilities
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test strategies and test cases for testing applications based on customer requirements
Review test strategies and test cases, being able to use your own experience and initiative to add value to the current test plan for testing the applications from an end-to-end perspective
Work closely with product management to understand new features and how these can be translated into test cases
Review and analyse requirements and technical design documents and provide timely feedback
Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them
Conduct manual or automated e2e testing on applications to identify and report bugs, ensuring high-quality software
Converting manual test cases into automated test scripts and maintaining existing test frameworks
About You
Solid experience in test automation frameworks such as Cypress, WebdriverIO, Selenium and Appium
Strong manual testing skills and experience in automated testing in complex systems
Experience in testing aspects of accessibility compliance against the WCAG specification
Experience reading and writing code written in Javascript, Typescript
Experience in cross-browser testing
Skilled in developing test strategies and cases for cross-functional features in complex environments, ensuring appropriate test coverage across the delivery cycle
Experience in testing applications across web and mobile platforms.
Experience in collaborating with developers on testing features and being an advocate of QA processes
Proficient with source code tools such as GitLab and BitBucket
Good understanding and experience in configuring CI/CD pipeline
Debugging logs using browser developer tools
Familiarity with tools like Charles Proxy and Postman, etc.
Experience working in cross-functional development teams, collaborating with developers on testing features, and being an advocate of QA processes
Understanding and the ability to explain Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD)
Ability to work independently and willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and ways of working
Nice to have
ISTQB Certified
Desire to grow their knowledge of the entire system, not limited to the components they are working on daily
Experience with performance and load testing
Knowledge of working with AWS services.
An ability to visualise and communicate ideas on how to improve and evolve our test strategies continuously
Familiarity with agile methodologies such as SCRUM and KANBAN
