Executive ‐ Product Engineer

 (BASED AT THULHIRIYA)

MAS Matrix, is a diversified flat-knit apparel manufacturing facility under MAS Holdings. Matrix houses 1000 Stoll flatbed machines offerings athleisure wear, performance wear, essentials and knit components for global brands such as Nike, Decathlon, Gymshark, Lacoste, Victoria's Secret and Stoko. Changing business dynamics prompted Matrix to explore innovative product solutions that go beyond the traditional realm of sweaters, launching its latest product platform, MVTM, a collection of highly functional, versatile, and fashion-forward designs.

Empower transformation by becoming a driving force of change at MAS. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to Identify, Evaluate and Incorporate all the technical requirements in terms of fit, Performance and aesthetic of sample into knit programme using most efficient and cost-effective knit techniques adhering to set standards while timely technical decision are made through effective coordination & collaboration with both internal & external parties specially guiding and managing own technical team. Ensure bulk manufacturability of developed samples while ensuring smooth and accurate factory integration (FI).

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Liaise with the Customer/ Merchandiser & Fit and construction engineer in the event of measurement adjustments/ feasibility of the knitting technologies, fabric and design changes is required and prepare programs using relevant programming software, supporting collect the knitting Standard Minute Vale (SMVs) to the IE team in-order to FOB (Free On Board) calculation. 
• Analyze pre-pre-production samples for new styles, identify possible production/ technical issues that could be encountered and propose preventive measures to make necessary adjustments for the bulk production process.
• Prepare the sample design and knitting programs for samples and evaluate same at the fabric inspection stage with Senior Technical Executive in-order to ensure that the proto sample is accurate prior to the Customer sample.
• Develop Knit programs for Concept/ Proto/ Size set samples by obtaining required details, in consultation with the merchandiser and Yarn technologist.
• Attend to day-to-day technical issues and solve same whilst, ensuring correct preventive action is taken to avoid any reoccurrences during FI process.
• Transfer the technical details of new styles for production in an accurate manner, and address technical issues that may arise during bulk/ Salesman sample (SS) production (Creating Technical packs, knitting programs, etc.)

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Degree/ Diploma Textile.
• 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar capacity 
• Good knowledge of all aspects of knitting Technology.
• Good communication and negotiation skills
