Location: Bangalore, India

Job Title: CAE Material Engineer – Airbag Simulation

Job Summary

The CAE Material Engineer will work on engineering problems related to airbag simulations by analyzing material testing data for airbag fabrics/textiles. The role involves creating accurate material models, developing property relationships, validating models at specimen and subsystem levels, and preparing detailed material characterization reports. The engineer will be responsible for delivering material models aligned with engineering team requirements and supporting global simulation initiatives.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Strong knowledge of FEA structural analysis.
Experience with HyperWorks and LS-DYNA is mandatory.
Basic working knowledge of PAMCRASH and ABAQUS.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and data handling.
Good understanding of CAE material modeling concepts.
Knowledge of airbag simulations is preferred.
Experience in automotive components is an added advantage.
Additional certifications or qualifications related to CAE/Materials are beneficial.
Programming abilities and experience using AI tools for pre/post-processing are advantages.

Other Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and manage processes for material modeling in FE simulations.
Manage end-to-end project execution from planning to delivery.
Delegate tasks effectively and follow up with cross-functional teams.

Experience in the automotive domain is an added advantage.

Languages

English is mandatory.
Knowledge of any foreign language is an added advantage.
