The Marriott Bonvoy Offers Platform (MBOP) is an intuitive platform for hotel associates to create offers and promotions that are intelligently served to our customers across owned digital channels based on their personal preferences and contextual relevance. Having demonstrated success with offers, the platform needs a strong senior product owner to help evolve our marketer-facing authoring experience as we look to take on new content types, additional distribution channels, and explore re-platforming efforts to streamline content authoring for our hotel marketers around the world.

 

As the senior product manager on the Offers Platform team, you will be responsible for driving the hands-on work needed to support the team’s feature delivery and optimizations. The ideal candidate will have experience building Salesforce Lightning apps, working with a dev team to assess bugs/features/support requests, and guiding the daily activities of a cross-functional platform team to ensure a high-quality product. CANDIDATE PROFILE 

Required Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, related major, or equivalent experience/education
  • 5+ years’ experience in digital products/technology, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
  • 3+ years of experience working with content management systems.
  • 3+ years’ product owner experience
  • 2+ years of digital product management experience within an Agile/Scrum team.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment.
  • Ability to produce artifacts such as product requirements documents, epics, and user stories that are actionable and clear for cross-functional team members. 
  • Experience distilling a high-level product roadmap into an actionable delivery schedule that drives incremental value in pursuit of a broader goal.
  • Ability to clearly articulate a product vision, business objective, or status update to peers and leaders alike.
  • Ability to use strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to brainstorm solutions with different functions and explain the pros and cons of each option.
  • Ability to synthesize insights such as competitive analysis, product performance data, or user research to identify opportunities that inform the product roadmap.
  • Experience working with a dev team creating custom flows in Salesforce Lightning
  • Experience creating and/or maintaining an omni-channel content management system
  • General understanding of technical concepts, including, but not limited to how APIs and data tables might be leveraged to build new features or products.

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

  • Collaborate with engineering and line-of-business teams as a cross-functional leader to drive execution of product roadmap.
  • Produce artifacts such as epics and user stories that support execution of product roadmap.
  • Combine data analytics, platform/product metrics, user experience research, and company goals to inform prioritization of product backlog.
  • Track and analyze metrics, publish reports on platform utilization and performance, trends and risks/opportunities for both short and long term.
  • Must collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams including, but not limited to scrum, Lightning dev, BE, API, and QA to drive delivery. 
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing per release requirements.
  • Coordinate backlog for defect resolution. Provide clear vision and scope documentation, use cases, requirements to support development.
  • Help define new product features or optimizations of existing products and incorporate them into the roadmap.
  • Define platform features and functionality that deliver frictionless and innovative authoring workflows across 30 languages.

The hourly pay range for this position is $52.06 to $85.58. Marriott offers a comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, and other life and work wellness benefits.  Benefits may be subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditions.
