Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role
As a member of the Mapped SRE team, you will be resposible for all core services powering our infrastructure, data pipelines and AI model training workflows. This is a senior role reporting directly to the CTO.
What you'll do
- Automate management, scaling, and monitoring of core infrastucure and data services.
- Develop internal tools for Mapped engineers; allowing them to ship awesome customer-facing features with confidence multiple times a day.
- Ensure end-to-end security and continuous SOC2 and PCI compliance.
- Balance cost vs implementation speed. Find ways to reduce operational overhead without impacting users.
- Recommend new technologies. Find opoprtunities to consolidate / collapse tech stack.
- Be an advocate. Speak at local conferences / meetups on a range of topics.
Qualifications
- Kubernetes
- kubctl fundamentals
- ArgoCD is a plus
- IaC
- Pulumi experience is peferred. Other IaC is OK too.

Location
This is a hybrid position in Lisbon, Portugal. We expect that you will be in the office 2-3 days per week. This is not a strict requirement. Life happens, but we are trying to create an office culture in our new Lumiar office!
