Program Director

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee Project Management teams, evaluating execution strategies and managing risks across projects.

  • Drive development, compliance, and improvement of Project Management procedures and processes.

  • Relationship building and stake holder management to C-Suite and Head of business unit

  • Build relationships with regional and business line representatives, contributing to the development of best practices in project and portfolio management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills to guide teams and stakeholders through complex projects. Able to inspire and motivate teams, set clear expectations, and provide guidance and support to ensure project success. Leadership also involves making tough decisions, resolving conflicts, and taking responsibility for project outcomes.

  • Strategic Thinking: Must have a strategic mindset and the ability to align project goals with the organization's overall strategic objectives. Able to see the big picture, identify project risks and opportunities, and make informed decisions that drive project success while considering the long-term impact on the business.

  • Excellent Communication: Able to communicate clearly and concisely with diverse stakeholders, including executives, team members, clients, and external vendors. Strong communication skills and able to articulate project objectives, manage expectations, influence stakeholders, and facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.

  • Technical Competence: Possesses solid foundation of technical knowledge related to project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Understands project lifecycle processes, risk management, resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling. Technical competence enables them to apply appropriate project management techniques and guide their teams effectively.

  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to analyze issues, identify viable solutions, and make timely and informed decisions. Able to balance risks and rewards, consider different perspectives, and adapt their approach as circumstances evolve.

  • Stakeholder Management: Able to manage diverse stakeholders for project success. Adept at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and expectations, and effectively managing their involvement throughout the project lifecycle. This includes managing conflicts, negotiating agreements, and fostering a collaborative environment.

  • Adaptability and Resilience: Able to foresee, manage and mitigate unexpected changes, setbacks, and challenges. Adaptable and resilient, capable of adjusting plans, managing scope changes, and overcoming obstacles. Able to maintain composure under pressure and inspire confidence in teams during times of uncertainty.

  • Business Acumen: Possesses a strong understanding of the business context in which their projects operate. This includes knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, financial considerations, and organizational goals. Business acumen allows them to make decisions that align with the broader business strategy and deliver value to the organization.

  • Continuous Learning and Improvement: Strong growth mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Is consistently up-to-speed on the latest project management practices, seek out professional development opportunities, and actively reflect on one’s experiences to refine their approach and enhance their skills.
