The Role
As a QA Engineer (SDET-1), you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and executing test automation for our software products. You’ll work closely with developers and product teams to ensure test coverage across our platform, contribute to automation frameworks, and help deliver a world-class customer experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow quickly in a startup that values technical curiosity and speed.
What You’ll Do
Build and maintain automated test scripts using Java (TestNG/JUnit/RESST) or Python (Pytest/Robot Framework).
Collaborate with developers, PMs, and QA peers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Develop and execute functional, integration, and regression tests for web apps and RESTful APIs.
Contribute to test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Log detailed bug reports and collaborate on root cause analysis with engineers.
Help maintain a healthy test environment, including test data, environments, and reliability metrics.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
1–4 years of hands-on experience in test automation or QA.
Proficiency in Java or Python and understanding of object-oriented programming.
Exposure to automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Pytest, Cypress, or Playwright.
Familiarity with REST API testing using Postman or REST Assured.
Familiarity with Cucumber framework.
Understanding of CI/CD tools and workflows, especially in cloud-based environments.
Solid foundation in QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and Agile principles.
Nice to Have
Experience with testing in SaaS environments or multi-tenant cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS.
Experience with SQL or other database technologies.
Awareness of performance or security testing concepts.
