Description
The Software QA Lead is responsible for driving software quality across Magnus’ digital manufacturing platform.
The role combines technical leadership, hands‑on validation, and cross‑organization quality initiatives.
Testing involves a mix of automated software testing, simulation‑based validation, and manual testing on real machines.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor the QA engineering team
• Define overall testing strategy and quality metrics
• Validate full system workflows from digital design to machine execution
• Perform hands‑on testing on real lab machines
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks
• Promote simulation‑based and virtual test environments
• Drive company‑wide quality initiatives
• Track defects, analyze failures, and improve system reliability
Requirements
• B.Sc. in Software, Mechanical, Electric engineering or related fields.
• 6+ years experience in software QA or software testing
• 2+ years leading or mentoring QA engineers
• Experience with manual and automated testing
• Experience testing complex systems involving hardware or industrial equipment
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Nice to Have
• Work closely with product, software, algorithms, and hardware teams.
• Knowledge & practical experience in AI tools for coding/automation.
• Experience with robotics or industrial automation
• Familiarity with machine control software or industrial protocols
• Experience with simulation environments
• Knowledge of manufacturing workflows, CAD/CAM, or machining processes
