Job Responsibilities:

Student employed to gain academic credit with structured job experienced for a short-term.

1. Know and understand Bowling Green Metalforming Quality and Environmental policies.
2. Perform other duties as required.
3. Industry 4.0:
o Will work with BGM Quality team to team to develop a paperless documentation system to drive process inspections to meet customer requirements.
o Develop CAD experiences in the AR software on parts prioritized per the Quality and Engineering team to support new program implementation.
a. Work with operations and quality team to track implementation on the floor and train TM’s on the software usage.
4. Work with Quality Engineers to develop and implement projects on critical/high risk processes and drive issues to closure with Quality & Engineering teams.
5. Take assignments in the process to Perform and Learn Quality Inspection requirements (Stamping, Assembly, Ecoat, and Service)
6. Support the Quality engineer/Area leaders to help collect data for PPAP, MSA Studies, Initial Process Studies. 
7. Maintain open communication and provide continued support to Quality and other departments regarding any issues found during AR/Receiving Inspection. 
 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Post-secondary education preferred, or related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Sophomore or Junior in engineering or technical curriculum
