JOB SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a skilled full-stack .NET developer to join our team and contribute to the development of software using .NET technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for creating applications from the ground up, configuring and refactoring existing systems, and providing L3 technical support.

To excel in this position, you must possess the ability to write functional code and have a keen eye for identifying and resolving defects. Collaboration and effective communication are essential, as you will be working closely with internal teams. This role will be a key part of the tech team at a full-service global transportation and logistics company. Our mission is to fortify our customers’ success by making their logistics programs efficient and dependable and by ensuring their transported goods arrive on time and damage free. The primary objectives will be to contribute to the on-going modernization of our systems, and development of integrations with our customers, suppliers, and in-house platforms to achieve highly efficient and reliable processes that deliver on our mission.

Essential Functions:

• Participate in requirements analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
• Design and develop robust integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable code in a .NET/SQL Server environment.
• Unit test and collaborate with the QA team and UAT users to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Deploy applications and systems.
• Troubleshoot, revise, update, refactor and debug code.
• Collaborate with others to produce developer-, support-, operations-, and business-level documentation for applications.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

• Proven experience as a .NET developer
• C# and VB.NET experience (primarily migration from the latter to the former)
• .Net Framework and .Net Core experience
• SOAP/XML and REST/JSON API development and consumption
• Web application development, including HTML/CSS
• Worker service and console application development
• SQL Server/SSMS/T-SQL experience
• Git/GitHub
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Ability to both collaborate with others and work independently

Highly desirable:

• Angular experience
• Flutter experience
• Experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Experience interacting directly with customers and vendors

EDUCATION:     

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or minimum of 7 years’ experience

EXPERIENCE    

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency with Agile development platforms such as Jira and/or Azure DevOps
• Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman and SOAP UI
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365
