Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain Python applications and scripts to support various business processes and operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business analysts, to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Design and implement data pipelines, data processing, and data analysis tools using Python and relevant frameworks.
  • Optimize and maintain existing Python code to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues reported by end-users.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in Python development.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of coding standards.
  • Work on projects related to automation, data analysis, and process improvement.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 4+ Yrs of proven experience as a Python developer, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
  • Proficiency in Python and its popular libraries and frameworks, such as Django, Flask, Pandas, NumPy, and others.
  • Experience with database systems, such as SQL and NoSQL databases, and the ability to write efficient database queries.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), unit testing, and continuous integration.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in the logistics or shipping industry is a plus but not required.
