Senior Software Engineer

Maersk is seeking a senior-level Integration Engineer. As Integration Developer you will be responsible for designing and developing solutions based on complex business rules. Additionally, you will be expected to participate in the design and development of applications to support our core business, with a large focus on innovating software solutions to modernize/transform existing applications.

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Work on all aspects of the software development lifecycle following agile methodologies.
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks with minimal oversight.
• Analyze code to find opportunities for improvement and eliminate defects.
• Write ad-hoc SQL queries to address application issues and modify data.
• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills & the benefits they bring to the team.
• Have a focus on deliverables and be able to adapt to changing situations/requirements in our fast-paced environment.
• Be able to think outside of the box to create innovative solutions.
• Compile and assess support team feedback to improve software performance.
• Develop technical documentation to guide application support and deployment.
• Provide Level 3 assistance to support the team in addressing production issues arising from integration processes.
• Provide technical and industry-specific knowledge guidance to contractors.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently, or as part of a team.
• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures as defined within the team as well as the department.
• Availability for On call rotation for better support model

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Strong object-oriented design and development skills
• Advanced knowledge of C#, .Net, .Net Core, and ASP.NET MVC or similar framework
• Experience with standard Web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS 5 and above Node JS
• Experience with API development (Rest API or GraphQL)
• Knowledge of MS SQL database technologies e.g. ETL, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Familiar with Distributed System Development/Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) 
• Familiar with Microsoft Azure or other cloud-based infrastructure (is a plus)
• Experience with VB6 for legacy application support.
• Experience with working with TFS, GitHub, or Azure DevOps (is a plus)
• Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies (is a plus)

A college degree, relevant industry experience, and a background in logistics/supply chain management-related applications are additionally beneficial.
