Senior SAP TM Engineer

Maersk is on multi-year program to revamp its technology and digital solutions footprint and as part of new strategy, SAP will act as the ‘digital core’ for the company’s Transportation Management processes. While we are relying on varies delivery partners in our transformation, we are investing into building our internal SAP TM capabilities.

As Senior SAP TM Engineer you will be responsible for SAP solution design, delivery and support working closely with product owners, business users, architects, implementing partners and other stakeholders from business and technology.

We are currently looking for a number of new colleagues at various levels of experience to support our continued journey to implement a world class logistics system to support our worldwide business. We are hiring for the end to end process of logistics including Order Management, Planning, Optimization, Execution.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for solution design, build, testing, configuration, solution delivery and support for SAP TM products across Maersk business units

• Work in an agile environment with product owners, architects, SAP developers/engineers and Scrum master in executing on prioritized backlog

• Ensuring on-time delivery of solution by removing bottlenecks using expertise skills

• Ensuring high quality of solution delivery ensuring design is followed during build and support

• Comply to enterprise architecture, global template guidelines and product roadmap

• Evaluating product progress accountable for each stage of the development process and the final product.

• Performance of product including value delivery, user satisfaction, performance of the support process, stability of the product and deployment/roll-out performance.

• Ensure solution stays standard as much possible & promote reuse of existing functionalities

We are looking for

• At least 10 years’ hands on experience in SAP TM as functional consultant or functional engineer

• Experience in implementing SAP S4HANA TM module for LSP scenario with focus on Intermodal transportation

• Expertise in the SAP TM functionalities (Order and Freight Management, Freight Planning and Execution, Transportation Charge Calculation and Freight Settlement) and experience with interfaces

• Experience in working with business process owners in understanding business requirement, analysis, prototyping of solutions, configuration, design, testing

• Have a good understanding of SAP TM architecture across it’s multiple components

• Good problem solving, analytical & communication skills. Ability to work in demanding situations
