We – Maersk Project Logistics – have an opening as Senior Project Manager within our Operations Team. We handle all types of transportation for our clients, both over-dimensional and containerized, which means our workday is very diverse and no 2 days alike. The position is based in Hamburg, Germany

Key responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a part of a team of over 200 experienced colleagues in the Maersk Project Logistics product, where we strive to deliver the best service for our customers.

Together with the Operations team you will play a key role in designing tailor-made logistics solutions and coordination of various projects for our customers as well as being part of our accelerated growth within our segment.

You will be working with all aspects in the project forwarding industry including:

- Executing transport and logistics solutions globally

- Manage all operational and documentation aspects of the project(s)

- Daily vessel and truck and movement update

- Procuring and evaluating offers from sub-contractors

- Daily contact with all stakeholders

- Potential travel related to projects

Required experience & skills:

- Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.

- Deep understanding of global trade, supply chain operations, and industry-specific challenges.

- 5+ Years Experience with over dimensional transports by sea and/or road

- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Analytical mindset with financial acumen and project management capabilities.

- Interested in working with different cultures around the world

- Ability to travel to various locations of execution.

- Fluent in both written and verbal German & English – other language skills are welcome
