As part of our network design and optimization platform, you'll work with a talented team of data scientists, and team with experience in network optimization. Your focus will be to design the network of the future and optimize the operations of our middle mile and last mile business.

The role

As a Senior Network Design Manager, you'll drive the development of high-performance algorithms, tackling exciting challenges to deliver optimal network designs efficiently. With a keen eye for team dynamics and a growth mindset, you'll foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

You'll collaborate closely with operations team, team of data scientists and data engineers to optimize end-to-end operations. Your partnership with business stakeholders will ensure that our tools seamlessly integrate into existing processes, empowering smarter outcomes and enhancing our global network's efficiency.

You'll play a pivotal role in designing the network of the future, ensuring network resiliency and ensuring optimized operations in our transportation business by embedding core decision support tools to drive efficiencies in planning and executing our global network. Key responsibilities

• Engage business and technology stakeholders with data and metrics to identify and drive initiatives that deliver business value through streamlined operations, cost efficient network designs and exceptional network resiliency in line with our growth plans.
• Deliver custom implemented models and algorithms together with the team.
• Work closely with interdependent business stakeholders to identify issues in operations, frame network related problem statement and design solutions to enable high performance end-2-end solutions that meets business needs and decision processes.
• Introduce robust optimization techniques in the volatile world of global supply chains.
• Continuously stay up-to-date on relevant technologies and use this knowledge to push the team forward.

We are looking for

• Relevant experience in Middle Mile and Last Mile Network optimization.
  • Experience in Middle Mile LTL network optimization including network design, routing guide/ optimization, driver scheduling, load planning, live haul management. (Must Have)
  • Experience in Last Mile routing design & optimization
• Experience in routing tools such Locus or Far Eye or Optym or any other supply chain optimization tool will be a plus
• High interest in mathematics, or computer science with a good understanding of advanced algorithms and computational performance. Familiarity and experience with heuristics, mathematical modelling, operations research and machine learning is important.
• Willingness to work hands on on optimization problems.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL would be good to have.
• A person comfortable with brainstorming and idea generation
• Experience with machine learning, optimization under uncertainty  and the business domain of middle mile and last mile business is an advantage
