The Technology Group, led by the CTIO, reporting to the CEO, is critical to realising the company strategy.  We plan on significantly enhancing our technology capabilities and are implementing a new technology architecture led through Platform Operating Model. Fulfilled by Maersk (FbM) organization is a critical part of Maersk’s global integrator vision. The FbM organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s fulfillment and logistics experience with automated end-to-end digital journeys and enable access to standardized products and services seamlessly. The team creates the foundation to integrate data, systems, and processes, powered by scalable digital infrastructure and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an exceptional implementation of our Maersk Ground Freight solutions for our Customers.
  • Champion and drive adoption of Site Reliability principles and various tangibles such as cost, security, compliance of building and running services that will be consumed by Enterprise grade customers across the globe
  • Working with leadership and product management across our business unit to ensure business requirements are met effectively.
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, Platform Engineering team and other technical teams to craft first-class technical implementations.
  • Communicating clearly and honestly with stakeholders about progress, roadblocks and timelines.
  • Handling day-to-day management tasks such as staff 1:1 meetings, performance reviews and coaching/mentoring.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and platform teams on the development, QA, and implementation of the products while balancing of resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
  • Aligning stakeholders around the vision for the product and platform.
  • Be the Customer Success Leader, consciously driving informed decisions and priorities to solve real customer pain and/or exploiting an opportunity to delight our customers.

Who You Are

  • 15+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Engineering at scale and technical mentoring
  • Have relevant experience and a bachelor in computer science, engineering, management information systems, another related field or its equivalent.
  • Be experienced with designing, implementing, and deploying distributed or real-time systems or similar technologies.
  • Have experience building and managing a sizeable team of engineers building new software products.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different teams.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
  • Experience with Monolithic software and moving away from it.
  • Expertise on building horizontally scalable, distributed, resilient/tolerant and monitored solutions.
  • Experience in cloud-ready ready, scalable, high-availability platforms and products.
  • Experience with large scale 3rd party solution implementation
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies like Azure and UI frameworks
  • Experience with Information Security management - Maintain the data confidentiality & integrity and relevant compliance of information systems.
