Job Responsibilities:
  •                 Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers, including recruitment, onboarding, mentorship, and career development. Able to lead a team of 20+ people.
  •                 Project/Risk Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Identify and mitigate risks associated with software development projects and take corrective actions as needed.
  •                 Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of software development principles, methodologies, engineering excellence and technologies to guide the team effectively.
  •                 Code Review and Quality Assurance: Review and ensure the quality of code produced by the team, maintaining coding standards and best practices. Deep understanding of functional testing and automation, security engineering etc.
  •                 Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including human resources and technical assets, to projects based on priority and team member capabilities.
  •                 Collaboration: Foster collaboration within the team and with other departments, such as product management, business, enterprise architecture etc.
  •                 Performance Management: Regularly assess the performance of team members, provide feedback, and support their professional growth and development. Regular 101s, define OKRS, servant leadership
  •                 Technical Strategy: Contribute to the development of technical strategies and roadmaps for the organization and align them with business goals.
  •                 Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project progress, challenges, and status updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
  •                 Budget Management: Manage project budget, , software tools, etc.

Qualifications:

  •                 Educational Background: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field is typically required.
  •                 Software Development Experience: Extensive experience in software development, with a strong understanding of any programming languages preference .net, frameworks, and best practices, Cloud, microservice architecture, SRE, DevOps etc.
  •                 Management Experience: Proven experience in team leadership and management, including managing software engineering teams.
  •                 Project Management: Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA)., GITHUB,
  •                 Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders.
  •                 Technical Proficiency: Continual learning and adaptation to stay current with evolving technologies and software development trends.
  •                 Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address technical and managerial challenges effectively.
  •                 Leadership Skills: The ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor team members to achieve their best performance.
  •                 Business Acumen: An understanding of business objectives and the ability to align technical efforts per business goals
  •                 Quality Focus: A commitment to ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
