Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to our data analysis efforts, driving data-driven decision-making within the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data analysis, data modelling, and business intelligence, along with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will collaborate with key stakeholders across various departments to develop data solutions that support strategic initiatives and optimize business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Work with large datasets and extremely proficient with tools like SQL, Python, or R to conduct advanced analyses.
• Analyze complex datasets to provide actionable insights that support business objectives.
• Create, maintain, and automate regular reports and dashboards using BI tools (Power BI).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, develop analysis, and interpret results to drive business performance.

Data modelling & Preparation:

• Develop and maintain complex data models, including relational databases, OLAP cubes.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to prepare data from various sources for analysis.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and accuracy across platforms, datasets, reports, and dashboards.

Advanced Analytics:

• Utilize statistical methods, predictive modelling, and data mining techniques to analyze trends and forecast business outcomes.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and design experiments to test hypotheses and improve decision-making processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with business units to understand their analytical needs and deliver solutions that help them achieve their goals.
• Present findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders through clear data visualizations and storytelling techniques.

Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Data Analysis: High Levels of Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python, R, etc.).
• BI Tools: Extensive experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• SQL: Strong SQL skills for querying databases and building complex data models.
• Data Visualization: Expertise in creating dashboards and data visualizations that clearly convey insights.
• ETL Processes: Experience with ETL processes for preparing and integrating data from various sources.
• Data modelling: Strong knowledge of data modelling, including relational and multidimensional models (e.g., OLAP, data marts).
• Statistical Analysis: Understanding of statistical techniques, forecasting, and predictive modelling.

Preferred Tools:

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud-based data platform Azure is a plus.
• Scripting Languages: Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation.
• Version Control: Familiarity with version control tools like Git is a plus.

Educational & Professional Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis or business intelligence, with a focus on providing strategic insights to stakeholders.
• Certification in data analytics, BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics) is a plus.
