We – Maersk Project Logistics – have an opening as Project Manager within our Operations Team. We handle all types of transportation for our clients, both over-dimensional and containerized, which means our workday is very diverse and no 2 days alike. The role as Project Manager offers a great opportunity to be a strong enabler in shaping the success of our increased focus on Project Logistics. The position is based in Hamburg, Germany

Key responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be a part of a team of 210 experienced colleagues in the Maersk Project Logistics product, where we strive to deliver the best service for our customers.


Together with the Operations team you will play a key role in designing tailor-made logistics solutions and coordination of various projects for our customers as well as being part of our accelerated growth within our segment.

You will be working with all aspects in the project forwarding industry including:

·         Executing transport and logistics solutions globally

·         Manage all operational and documentation aspects of the project(s)

·         Daily vessel and truck and movement update

·         Procuring and evaluating offers from sub-contractors

·         Daily contact with all stakeholders

·         Potential travel related to projects

You work well with challenging situations and enjoy in having project responsibility. Required experience & skills:

·         Minimum two years’ experience working in forwarding/logistics,

·         Experience with over dimensional transports by sea and/or road

·         Someone who works in a structured and organized way, but also keeps an innovative mindset

·         A team player, who can also carry out assignments independently

·         A responsible, hardworking, engaged and energetic individual

·         Interested in working with different cultures around the world

·         Ability to travel to various locations of execution

·         Fluent in both written and verbal German & English
