Your role will be within the Customer Commitments team, supporting engineering teams building best-in-class e-commerce solutions for Maersk Ground Force and Ecommerce.

Job Description:

As a Associate Software Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in implementing technical solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to outline technical solutions, leverage existing capabilities, and develop and maintain features to meet customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evolve existing applications to meet evolving business and customer needs.
  • Work within engineering teams to deliver high-quality products on time and reduce technical debt.
  • Translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of application changes and implementation cycles (research, design, development, testing, deployment).
  • Work on complete software development/implementation with unit testing and monitoring.
  • Follow DevOps practices and configure deployments for business deliverables.
  • Participate in building, supporting, and operating software under the DevOps model.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve business deliverable efficiency.
  • Identify and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Suggest improvements to internal code frameworks, best practices, and guidelines.
  • Share knowledge with team members to enhance productivity.
  • Ensure technical decisions align with the applications roadmap.
  • Assist in solving technical problems.
  • Address technical concerns and suggestions.
  • Advise on solution test strategy and scope.
  • Develop, maintain, and publish standards, guidelines, and processes aligned with the Technology strategy.
  • Participate in technology roadmaps/blueprints for new solutions and legacy system migration.
  • Follow establish processes within the Team and suggest improvements to them.
  • Providing continuous improvement suggestions in internal code frameworks, best practices and guidelines
  • Share knowledge with other team members to be more productive, effective, and efficient
  • Able to troubleshoot technical challenges in software designs and any production incidents that may arise for delivered business solutions
  • Follow DevOps and be able to make any configuration changes to support necessary deployments for business deliverables

 

 

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Hands on experience in C#, .Net technologies.
  • Developing scalable, cloud native, resilient, secure and quality engineering products; preferably in logistics space.
  • Experience with building and managing microservices through its life cycle (versioning, backward compatibility)
  • Deep knowledge and experience of using different algorithms and data structures, knowledge of object-oriented design, Design Patterns and multi-threaded programming.
  • Experience using Agile methodologies.
  • At least 3+ years of industry experience with a minimum of 2+ years designing and building scalable applications.
  • Engineering or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of different architectural approaches.
  • Ability to explain the technical merits and value of Cloud computing.
  • Familiarity with and experience implementing:  SOAP APIs, Authentication standards and protocols, Microservices (Design & Development), REST principles, UX/UI principles.
  • Exposure to Digital Transformation and architecting/developing digital platforms & products.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure-based Cloud Architecture software development and migration.
  • Proficient in Agile/XP practices. Strong team player with autonomy and individual motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey results and insights to stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux servers.
  • Experience with UML or other diagramming language
