M9 Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer to work hybrid on a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a clear product vision for our client’s software products, aligning with user needs and business objectives.
- Write and test modular, maintainable, service-oriented, serverless code to execute on cloud infrastructure.
- Deliver quality software as part of a development team using the agile development methodology.
- Work with other teams to integrate new technologies as needed.
- Participate in architectural reviews and offer alternative architectural patterns to optimize application performance.
- Document processes and solutions.
- Work with the technical team to assess new customer requests, identify existing capabilities that may meet customer needs, and/or identify additional technology to meet customer needs that balances cost and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
- An active Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in cloud development, with a focus on one of the major cloud platforms.
- Proven experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Agile development experience along with related technologies (e.g., Jira).
- Demonstrable comprehension of key engineering concepts (e.g., load balancing, resiliency, backup, scaling, alerting).
- Significant experience architecting, building and maintaining capabilities in AWS.
- Significant experience architecting and working in systems Government-owned secure networks (e.g., NIPR, SIPR, A-LAN, C-LAN).
- Deep knowledge of security best practices, experience with cloud security tools, and working with role and attribute-based security models.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM Templates).
- Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle.
- Familiarity and experience with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
- Experience working in a Scrum based task / team structure.
