Data Scientist - Portfolio

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Prortfolio product group; where progress, and humility are valued as highly as technical excellence.

We are seeking an experienced data scientist with experience developing, working with production ML models, and monitoring tools. The ideal candidate will have a background in both data science and software engineering, enabling them to work with in production ML pipelines and develop robust machine learning models. Expertise in forecasting models and excellent problem framing and problem-solving skills will be highly valued. We’re especially interested in candidates who are strong communicators with experience in figuring out why ML outputs change and communicating them to commercial stakeholders.

This is a fully remote role, within the following time zone (UTC -1 / UTC+3). Our engineers work remotely from locations such as UK, Europe and Africa. You will be reporting to the group Engineering Manager.

Expertise in the following would really highlight your suitability

• Python

• Proficient in popular machine learning frameworks for time series data, including:

  • Scikit-learn

  • Tree-based models

  • Regression models

  • Plotly

  • dbt / databricks

  • Looker

• Experienced with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) frameworks.

• Experienced in monitoring models in production environments.

• Experienced with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

• Well-versed in MLOps best practices.

• Experience in developing forecasting models, especially for risk and fraud detection.

• Strong problem framing and problem-solving skills.
