The French fintech has gained great notoriety for this feature and now has more than 7 million users.In recent years, Lydia has developed other services - pot, current account, common account, savings, credit, investment... to become the daily and complete payment application for millions of French people.

With 250 employees based in Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux and Lyon, Lydia has set itself the task of changing the codes of the bank by offering all the essential services to manage your money on a daily basis through a simple, accessible and enjoyable customer experience.

Reporting to your Vertical Team Lead, you will join one of our multidisciplinary teams, gathering most of the time Product Manager, Technical Product Manager(s), Quality Analyst(s), Front / Mobile/ Backend Developers.

You will be based in one of our different offices (Paris/Bordeaux/Lyon/Nantes) or remotely from another city.

BackEnd team developers / engineers share the same vision: to see beyond the code and to be dedicated to delivering quality features and service to our users.

The application is made up of a multitude of microservices, in a hybrid environment (private and public cloud).

With us, our engineers who develop a project are responsible for decision-making that is both simple and efficient.

Technical environment :

  • Languages: Go, PHP 5-8.

  • Tools: Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Docker, FuelPHP, Symfony, MariaDB, PostgreSQL

  • Cloud: Google Cloud Platform

What you will do :

  • Elaborate complex solutions that require deep understanding of Banking processes

  • Empower and assist less experienced developers

  • Ensure operational excellence during runtime

  • Schedule and deliver a wide range of technical features

  • Experience with distributed systems, performance optimization and refactoring

You are in the right place if :

The ideal candidate for this position is completely autonomous and sufficiently rigorous to like the intellectual gymnastics necessary to the implementation of new functionalities to the code already in place.

You need to know how to juggle proven technologies to find elegant solutions to new problems.

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in development, ideally in a start-up or in a scale-up environment;

  • Oriented “project” and “user” culture;

  • You have a BAC + 2 to 5 (University or engineering school);

  • You have excellent skills in software engineering.


And it’s a plus if :

  • You are able to communicate in English with your colleagues. We don't expect a big style, but you know how to make yourself understood in writing;

  • If you have a previous experience in Banking environment.
