Our AI solutions help discover cancer and predict cancer treatment outcomes, achieving timely and individually tailored cancer treatment.

🗨️ About the Team

  • The AI Platform department is responsible for supporting various data and infrastructure-related aspects of the AI development process, from data acquisitionto curation to enrichment to infrastructure. The product management team is the main support team for these efforts, handling project management, product management, QA, and design.
  • We support both the cancer screening/radiology and oncology sides of the company, working towards a unified multi-modal system.
  • Products and technologies for the future include data management, federated learning, model customization, and foundation model development.

🗨️ About the Position

  • Build the Future of Medical Technology
    As our Tech PM, you’ll be the core of Lunit’s long-term plan to build the next-generation of machine learning models. Your expertise in technology, product, and the software development lifecycle will be essential in delivering Lunit’s AI and data platform. Your products will unite data across the whole medical domain to produce custom-tailored AI models to save lives in ways that have never been done before. Your work will push the cutting edge of medicine towards personalized healthcare, based on patients' holistic medical profiles.
  • Connect Specialists to Deliver the Impossible
    You’ll be the intersection of specialists from all different areas: machine learning researchers, data engineers, infrastructure engineers, product teams, medical doctors, and business development teams. To drive the team through each milestone, you’ll use all of the product and project management skills - prioritization, feature planning, timeline management, risk management, and more. Your diverse knowledge and experience will be critical to constructing systems that are the culmination of all these areas of expertise.

🚩 Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with stakeholders in leadership, research, medical, and engineering to identify product opportunities and define key features
  • Define and communicate the product vision, milestones, and roadmap to stakeholders and implementation teams.
  • Manage business and technical requirements with engineering teams
  • Prioritize tasks, balancing development speed with maintainability and extensibility
  • Foster collaboration across medical, engineering, and machine learning specialists
  • Lead project management within the software development lifecycle
  • Document decisions, features, and processes for stakeholders and auditors
  • Define metrics, track progress, and drive continuous product improvement

🎯Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Business level English
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in delivering end-to-end machine learning pipelines and building heavily automated MLOps systems
  • Experience in distributed systems
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Product sense to discover opportunities, given information from industry experts
  • Personable but firm when identifying, discussing, and resolving problems, both technical and interpersonal
  • Familiarity with medical systems, e.g. PACS, HL7, FHIR
  • Understanding of HIPAA, GDPR, FDA 510(k), and similar regulatory frameworks
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience in some project management software, like Jira, Smartsheet, or Asana

🏃‍♀️ Hiring Process

  • Document Screening → Introductory Interview (Online) → Competency-based interview → Culture-fit Interview → Onboarding
    • All interviews are conducted in English.
    • After the final interview, we may proceed with reference checks if needed.
    • During the Competency-based interview, the candidate will present for 20 minutes 1 or 2 past projects. After this, the interviewers will ask questions about the past projects and the assignment.
    • The expected start date is January 2025.
