We are seeking a motivated individual to help enhance and evolve our design and insights operations within our User Experience (UX) organization.
Our Design Operations Specialist is integral to the efficiency and success of the UX Team within our organization. You'll work with our DesignOps Manager and collaborate with our Design and Insights teams, as well as cross-functional partners, to implement workflows, manage projects, and develop processes that enable the team to excel in their work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Support Day-to-Day Design Operations and Priorities
- Ensure smooth execution of UX team workflows by managing schedules, removing roadblocks, and coordinating resources to meet team needs
Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between UX team, development, product management, and other cross-functional teams
- Facilitate collaboration and handoffs between stakeholders
- Communicate with partners about scope, prioritization, roadblocks, questions, and delays
Schedule and Support UX Meetings, Kickoffs, and Reviews
- Organize and facilitate retrospectives, design reviews, insights reviews, and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborate with the Insights team to schedule and support user testing sessions for both actual users of the product and external testers
Provide Project Oversight and Communication
- Track UX team timelines and scopes to ensure projects stay on track
- Provide cross-team visibility into projects and workflows
- Own and communicate status updates for UX initiatives
Support Optimization of Operational Efficiency
- Document and help improve UX team activities and processes
- Identify and eliminate workflow bottlenecks and barriers
- Manage UX tools, ensuring teams have the resources they need to succeed
Champion Standards and Best Practices
- Promote consistency and quality across all design and research outputs
- Help triage and manage UX feedback
- Advocate for UX best practices across the organization
- Advocate and help expand Lumin’s Accessibility Program
Measure and Report Performance
- Work with DesignOps Manager to define, manage, and track UX metrics to measure UX value and team improvement over time
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
5-7 years in a Design Organization
Organized, with project management skills
Understanding of the Design and Research Processes for Digital Products
Good Communicator
Preferred but not required
- UX Writing experience
- Agile experience
- Digital product experience
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Travel: Minimal, generally 12 days or less per year, ~2X team get togethers a year
