Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to provide consultation and technical direction on translating business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs. This includes facilitating the implementation and maintenance of complex business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. This role serves as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions. In addition, this role personally develops and delivers code modules, stable application systems, and integrated enterprise software solutions within various computing environments.

Core Responsibilities:

• Working closely with product team in building product roadmap, translating the roadmap to design decisions, estimate and getting it developed.

• Collaborate with architects or engineering leaders to ensure functional specifications are converted into flexible, scalable, and maintainable solution designs.

• Develop, configure, or modify microservices and event driven architectural solutions using appropriate technology stack.

• Build and execute automated test scenarios.

• Deploy the solution by building and maintaining continuous deployment pipelines.

• Participate and coach junior team members.

Problem Solving

Analyze and solve complex problems in a timely and efficient manner. Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, proactively solving problems and minimizing downtime.

Technical Leadership

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers. Participate in architectural decision-making and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team.

Code Review & Testing

Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards. Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting

Collaboration

Work closely with product managers, cross functional teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver innovative solutions.

Documentation

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software applications, APIs, and other relevant systems.

Continuous Improvement

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies. Actively participate in improving development processes, tools, and methodologies.

Primary Skills

• More than 8+ years' experience in Product development

• More than 5+ years of API development, Java programming experience

• 2+ years on IAM, Application Security, Access Governance domain experience

• Well versed in latest Java and Node features like Error Handling/tracing, concurrency, performance, security enhancements.

• Should have a good understanding of microservice design patterns and CI/CD, on-prem deployment.

• Should have a high level understanding of microfrontend design

• Create solutions using Messaging technologies like Kafka and Hollow.

• Experience in designing and using Caches, Relational and NO-SQL databases.

• Worked on GIT and Jenkins.

• Should have at least 3+ years of experience in architecting/designing enterprise level solutions and at least 8 years in a coding role.

• Should have at least 2 years’ experience in coding and architecting applications using micro service architecture and patterns.

• Ability to provide architecture solution, low level design, user story creation and assist the developers in any tech or domain difficulties.

• Able to decompose and transition a monolith to microservices & design NO-SQL databases.

• Excellent knowledge on data structures and latest features of java.

• Experienced and comfortable in using Docker and Kubernetes

• Should be hands-on and able to develop code and Proof of Concepts.

• Drive the adoption of new technologies by researching technical trends and developments.

• Experience in designing and providing technical direction to the team via sessions and design artifacts.

• Worked in Agile Development and aware of CI-CD best practices.

• Able to design taking into account scalability, availability and performance for applications with heavy traffic.

• Able to provide best practices for development, unit testing and acceptance testing.

• Should be able to collaborate and work with the global teams.

Secondary Skills

• Application/IT Security domain experience

• Architect and Cloud certifications.

• Experience working in Workflow engine, Rules Engine, Roles Engine, RBAC, ABAC

• Experience working in cloud solutions like GCP, Azure, AWS, etc as well as on-premises applications.

• Flexible & Skilled to understand JavaScript libraries like NextJS, ReactJS.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
• 7 years of experience in software development or a related field  
• 6 years of experience in database technologies
• 6 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC)

Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field
• 6 years of IT experience developing and implementing business systems within an organization
• 6 years of experience working with defect or incident tracking software
• 6 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software development environment
• 4 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
• 4 years of experience leading teams, with or without direct reports
• 6 years of experience working with source code control systems
• Experience working with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment tools
• 6 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
