The Team and Role:

As a key member of the Mechatronics team, you will be the driving force behind front-end innovation and the New Product Introduction (NPI) of Logitech products. You will act as a hands-on inventor, bridging the gap between ambitious ideas and manufacturable reality. We are looking for someone who can rapidly prototype and develop breakthrough foundational technologies and ensure their successful transition into mass production.

  • Spearhead the creation of breakthrough foundational technologies, bringing industry-defining innovations and fresh ideas to the mouse, keyboard and joystick domain
  • Rapidly design, build, and iterate functional prototypes (PoCs) to validate high-risk, high-reward concepts. Translate abstract ideas into tangible and high fidelity hardware quickly to prove out viability 
  • Leverage AI Agent skills to explore novel innovation directions, accelerate proof-of-concept (PoC) iterations, optimize system design(hardware, embedded software and software), and discover new applications that significantly enhance the player experience.
  • Evaluate analog sensing systems and explore new technologies, concepts, configurations, and architectures based on performance, user experience, risk, cost, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Ensure hardware solutions for analog keyboards in the NPI process meets cost, schedule, UX, and sustainability goals
  • Develop specialized tools, test rigs, and equipment to measure or characterize various sensing and analog signal solutions during the prototyping phase
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a cross-regional environment

Key requirements: 

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Control Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product development, rapid prototyping, and NPI within the consumer electronics industry.
  • Exceptional rapid prototyping capabilities, including hands-on experience with rapid PCB layout, micro-soldering, and quick-and-dirty firmware hacking to prove out concepts.
  • Proficiency in AI Agent skills (e.g., using AI tools for data analysis, design process automation, generative hardware design assistance, or applying AI to accelerate hardware innovation and problem-solving).
  • Experience in digital/analog electrical design and firmware architecture.
  • Experience in the sensing domain. Deep understanding of analog keyboard switch actuation principles is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with hardware interfaces such as USB, SPI, I2C, and UART.
  • Experience with ARM Cortex-M series MCU or RISC-V MCU development..
  • Familiarity with the Python programming language for scripting and automated testing.
  • Fast learner, proactive, and curious, with a "maker" mindset and strong prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English proficiency.
  • Outspoken, open-minded, and creative team player.
  • Willingness to travel as required by project needs.
     

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Advanced engineering analysis skills: Statistical Tolerance Analysis, SPC, FMEA, GR&R, DOE, and 8D problem-solving methodology.
  • Experience with magnetic simulation or actuator control.
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD tools (for basic mechanical prototyping integration).
