Department: LQS Management

At LiquidStack, we’re redefining what’s possible in the data center world. As a global leader in advanced liquid cooling solutions, we’re powering the future of AI, edge computing, and high-performance systems. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for skilled professionals who want to be part of something innovative and impactful.

As the Product Manager, Data Center Hydronic Systems, you will lead a strategic and growing segment of the portfolio for the North America Data center business unit. This starts with understanding market trends, customer needs, gaps in Trane’s portfolio and the competitive landscape to initiate new offerings through engineering development and production. The role will also manage potential sourced product relationships to augment internal capabilities.

You will be responsible for helping define the product strategy, cross-functional team leadership (both internally as well as with sourced partners), life-cycle management, multi-generational product plans, new product development programs, commercialization, customer research, cultivating strong supplier relationships, and go-to market strategy. In addition, you will be responsible for – and accountable to – meeting or exceeding Trane’s revenue growth targets, maintaining or growing market share and expanding margin.

We are seeking a high-energy, results driven product management professional capable of articulating a strategic vision and executing that vision to deliver business results. You will have excellent communication and executive presence and be seeking an opportunity to grow and develop on a general manager track with a leading climate innovation company.

What you will do:

  • Integral team member of the larger Data Center Product Management team focused on expanding Trane’s presence and participation in the Data Center vertical.
  • Leader of a Product Growth Team (PGT) managing the Hydronic Solutions segment of Trane’s portfolio.
  • Actively engaged in the rapidly evolving Data Center ecosystem, exploring and understanding new technologies
  • Be an integral team member in evaluating both Make vs Buy decisions as well as possible M&A acquisition/partnership opportunities supporting this segment of the Data Center vertical.
  • Lead product line strategy and long-range plan development, P&L and annual operating plan for the newly created product line. Effectively manage tradeoffs between short- and long-term product line performance as measured in revenue, margin, and market share.
  • Develop and execute channel strategy aimed at developing and maturing channel capability to drive growth in market coverage and closure rate to enable product line to reach its entitlement in the market.
  • Actively manage day to day needs of product line and strategic supplier, with particular focus on identifying and delivering profitable growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute a multigenerational product plan (MGPP) for product line, ensuring that the product positioning, pricing, cost, margins and customer value proposition support the overall equipment strategy and direction.
  • Collaborate with other leaders and product managers to ensure product line strategy is aligned with peer portfolio’s roadmaps and supports broader system, services and contracting initiatives.
  • Collaborate with market research team to understand customer needs, and define the customer “Critical to Quality” specifications (CTQs) for product line and associated systems to support new product development programs (NPDs)
  • Initiate and support business cases for NPDs that execute elements of MGPP.
  • Collaborate, create and execute the marketing and commercialization for new products offerings and exiting product enhancement with strategic suppliers.

What we expect of you:
