UI Programmer II

• Develop, integrate and maintain gameplay UI systems using C++ and Unreal Engine.
• Build responsive, scalable and performant UI systems for different gameplay and game modes.
• Work closely with Game Design, UX, Art and Gameplay teams to translate designs into functional in-game experiences.
• Implement UI interactions, menus, HUDs, widgets, navigation systems and player-facing features.
• Optimise UI performance and ensure consistent functionality across PC and console platforms.
• Debug and resolve UI, performance and integration issues across different game systems.
• Contribute to UI architecture, reusable components and engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with other programmers to deliver high-quality features.

• 3–6 years of professional experience in game programming, with a strong focus on UI.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with Unreal Engine.
• Hands-on experience developing UI systems for PC and console games is required.
• Good understanding of game UI architecture, input handling, navigation and UI performance.
• Experience with UMG, Slate or similar game UI frameworks.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving and optimisation skills.
• Good understanding of gameplay systems and how UI integrates with game logic.
• Experience working in a collaborative game development environment.

• Experience working on shipped PC/console titles.
• Experience with multiplayer UI and networked gameplay.
• Experience with UI profiling and optimisation.
• Passion for games, particularly sports or competitive multiplayer games.
