As a Software Engineer at Liftoff, you will:
- Build back-end systems that can ingest, process and store millions of events per second
- Build and support tools that enable big data analytics and visualization
- Work with data analysts, data scientists and ML engineers to define and drive efficient solutions
- Have a high impact on Liftoff by driving analytics across our entire organization
Desired qualities and experience:
- 8+ years of industry experience
- 5+ years of experience building and maintaining large-scale systems
- Strong coding ability - experience in Go and Clojure is a plus, but not required
- Strong core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, architecting systems)
- Experience working in high-growth startup atmosphere is a plus
- A passion for quality and excellence, and the ability to temper it when necessary to ship
Location:
This role eligible for full-time remote work in one of our entities: CA, CO, ID, IL, FL, GA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TX, UT, and WA. We are a remote-first company with US hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and NYC.
Compensation:
Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Base compensation will vary based on candidate location and experience. The following are our base salary ranges for this role:
SF Bay Area, NYC, Los Angeles/Orange County: $156,528 - $207,366
Seattle/Olympia, Austin, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Boston: $143,575 - $186,629
All other cities and towns in our approved states: $135,599 - $176,261
