Job Description
Join our Engineering Team and help promote the future of our plant! We are seeking a highly qualified Project Engineer to lead our engineering projects and support continuous improvement processes at our production plant.
In this stimulating role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts, managing engineering projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, timeline, and cost objectives, demonstrating your problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Main Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for capital investments;
- Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects from the launch phase to the design and mechanical completion phase;
- Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring that timelines and costs are constantly aligned with the Executive Plan;
- Coordinate and manage the activities of the multidisciplinary Project Team;
- Develop basic and detailed design of plants and equipment, whether related to new production lines or modifications/expansions of existing ones, in accordance with current HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and quality standards (GMP, FDA, ISO, etc.);
- Prepare project technical documentation (URs, technical specifications, drawings, manuals, etc.);
- Supervise the installation and support Maintenance in the integration of new plants and equipment into the production cycle;
- Coordinate and manage contracts with suppliers of materials and services;
- Identify, analyze, and manage non-compliance risks, in terms of quality and safety, during all phases of plant design and implementation;
- Effectively manage interfaces with various business functions (Safety, Production, Quality, Maintenance, etc.);
- Supervise factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) of equipment and machinery supplied by third parties;
- Collaborate on the validation and qualification activities of plants and equipment;
- Prepare project status reports, sharing them with the Project Team, the Engineering/Maintenance Manager, and other stakeholders in scheduled periodic meetings;
- Support the Maintenance and Production departments in fault analysis throughout the productive life cycle of the operating plants, identifying solutions for timely and effective resolution;
- Analyze process data and plant performance to identify improvement opportunities;
- Promote the adoption of innovative technologies and Industry 4.0/5.0 solutions;
- Provide technical support for the training of Maintenance and Production operators;
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to ensure a safe work environment in collaboration with the HSE Manager;
- Manage, update, and optimize the technical archive, ensuring the integration and proper archiving of key documents (layouts, P&IDs, technical lists, specifications, manuals, certifications, etc.);
- Prepare and update SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), protocols, and quality reports
- Evaluate and select suppliers and materials in collaboration with the Purchasing Department
Qualifications
- Degree in chemical engineering
- Knowledge of the operation of machinery and industrial processes in the nutraceutical-pharmaceutical field (e.g., osmosis, microfiltration, nanofiltration, drying, concentration/evaporation, wastewater treatment, production of osmotized/purified water, production of clean steam, etc.)
- Preparation of P&IDs, technical specifications, construction drawings, etc.
- Knowledge of project management software tools (i.e., Microsoft Project)
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D technical drawing (AutoCAD)
- Proficiency with Office 365
- Knowledge of SAP management software
- Excellent level of the English language (written and spoken)
- Attitude to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
