The Opportunity

L.E.K.’s Data and Analytics practice works alongside project teams in solving a range of analytical problems, enabling L.E.K. to provide clients with the best possible advice.

As part of our rapidly growing practice, you will be working alongside an experienced team to discover insights which help answer our clients’ toughest commercial problems.

Our collaborative approach to analytics is unique: firm-wide we leverage a high-powered self-service toolkit to build the analysis that underpins our commercial recommendations. As a Research & Analytics Specialist, you will be working alongside project teams, providing guidance, training, and coaching, as well as executing primary quantitative research.

The Research & Analytics Specialist position is a part of the broader Data & Analytics team. The role is designed to support project teams deliver key components of the project. This includes the creation and initial analysis of surveys, data collection through techniques such as web scraping, analysing web analytics data, and maintaining associated analysis and reports.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Primary research through surveys
  • Working with the project team to design the questionnaire
  • Programming using the Qualtrics survey platform
  • Monitoring and managing its soft launch and delivery
  • Process, clean, and validate data generated through surveys
  • Creating initial cuts of analysis using the results through Q Research Software
  • Communicate findings effectively to various audiences
• Identifying and extracting data from a variety of sources, including using web scraping techniques
• Own and automate internal and external data collection processes and associated reports
• Draw insights from web analytics data and conduct social media sentiment analysis
• Build and maintain internal relationships

Training will be provided across both the technical and commercial elements of the role to help set you up for success.

Who we are looking for

The Research & Analytics Specialist role suits anyone with a passion for working with data and a desire to broaden their technical skills. We are looking for bright and driven people who want to deploy analytics within high-impact commercial contexts.

You should be familiar with working with data through Excel or similar tools. Any additional experience with quantitative research or tools outlined below is beneficial, but not essential, as all training will be provided.

• Survey coding and analysis (Qualtrics platform, Q research software, R, or other survey related software)
• Web scraping and data collection (Parsehub, Python, or other web scraping tools)
• Web analytics (Similar Web, Brandwatch, or other web analytics tools)
• Data analysis and visualisation (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, etc..)
• Basic statistical knowledge

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is a must. Only applications in English will be taken under consideration, as all work is conducted in English.
