Primary Responsibilities

• Communicate with technical leads (systems, electrical, mechanical, test, etc.) and SMEs to plan out software system functionality and estimate development schedule

• Lead design, development and integration of software with hardware components in a lab environment

• Manage tasking for other technical members and plan software development using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Unit testing, verification, and documentation of software architecture.

• Debug network and serial communications between software and hardware components

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 8+ years of experience or an MS degree with 6+ years of experience 

• Possess a strong competency in C#

• Experience with hardware integration in a lab environment and analysis of hardware/software compatibility

• Experience leading software architecture design

• Experience collaborating with other functional groups (systems engineering, electrical engineering, test, etc.) to create a software product

• Experience managing a team and assigning tasking within an Agile environment (or equivalent)

• Experience with software best practices such as peer reviews, automated testing, and document generation.

• Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

• Must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing with serial communication libraries (ex: RS232, RS485)

• Experience using Wireshark and developing software that sends communications over a network (UDP/TCP)
