Description

Leidos has an open Lead Agile Software Engineer position supporting the Mission Planning and Analysis Common Services (MPACS) contract.  As an MPACS Lead Agile Software Engineer, you are an integral part of a team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way to support USSTRATCOM’s mission objectives.  In this role, you will lead multiple Agile development teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance capability, reduce sustainment costs, and provide the flexibility to adapt quickly to evolving customer needs. You will be responsible for understanding high-level features and desired outcomes, both current and future, and assisting Agile teams in building, analyzing, and understanding these outcomes. You will oversee the application-level outcomes, prioritize them, and maintain a roadmap of capability improvements in collaboration with the Government. Your expertise in formulating software designs will be essential in creating solutions that meet various desired outcomes while balancing goals and constraints such as customer environment, cybersecurity, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD). Effective communication of the software architecture to both Government and Agile teams with varying levels of technical understanding is critical. You will verify implementations to ensure the delivered software aligns with the agreed architecture and meets the desired outcomes. Additionally, you will manage changes to the software architecture, control software complexity, and ensure that design goals such as performance, modularity, reliability, maintainability, reusability, and accessibility are met. Your leadership will extend to conducting design reviews, providing feedback, and ensuring that the backlog addresses any quality issues and technical debt related to architecture. Identifying software risks early in the development cycle and providing a documented basis for architectural decisions will also be key responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience leading teams in developing architectures.

  • 5 years’ experience leading projects using Agile/Scrum development processes and DevSecOps (including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), services, continuous security, and containerization with the associated automation techniques) principles.

  • Experience designing enterprise architecture with modern, enabling technologies and processes, e.g., cloud computing, CI/CD, virtualization, agile design and development, JavaScript frameworks, REST services, standards-based authentication, and authorization protocols.

  • Experience collaborating with cybersecurity, product owners, users and developers to design and communicate an innovative and secure architecture that enables continuous software delivery.

As a student navigating the job market, I've found LinkedIn increasingly frustrating due to numerous fake postings by consultancies. In contrast, this job posting website has been a game-changer for me. It offers genuine opportunities and a straightforward application process, making it much easier to find and apply for real jobs. Highly recommend it to fellow students seeking reliable job listings!

Echo Jobs has been exceptional in my job hunt where it provides one platform to job hunt and I don't have to open 10 websites just to look for a job. It has also helped me focus much on the job skill and the location filtering out the onsite jobs and remote ones. The only feature that I would request is to display fully remote jobs that are not restricted to a country since the one available shows ie, Remote, US yet. But if it could show remote only, that would be helpful not only to me but to other people applying for full remote and not tied to only US candidates

I found EchoJobs in 2022, and I love it. It has a lot of remote jobs. It's exclusive to software and technology jobs (helpful for devs like me). What I like the most are its filters and its API. If you're a tech professional seeking remote work, I highly recommend giving it a try to EchoJobs.

Simply put, it's the most up to date tech jobs aggregator I’ve found. I'm like... "I don't have to check 10+ jobs boards daily just to see if there's a new job listing? sign me up!" The filters are also quite helpful! The UI is very clean and straightforward. Love it!
