Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer I to join the Data Center Power & Control Division in Reading, UK. As a member of the Test Engineering team, this position will support daily production testing of electromechanical assemblies through test program validation, operator training, technical support, and equipment maintenance. Perform engineering services as required for the development of custom and standard test equipment. Assist in the design of equipment, electronic hardware, and software. This position is responsible for improving and sustaining production testing technologies and ensuring their proper usage.

As part of the Test Engineering team, this role is responsible for validating test programs, maintaining and improving testing technologies, providing technical support, and ensuring the reliable operation of production test equipment. Key duties include troubleshooting test issues, supporting equipment maintenance and upgrades, assisting with the development of test hardware and software, creating technical documentation, training operators and supervisors, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve manufacturing quality, efficiency, and testing processes.
