Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer to join the Pass & Seymour team in Syracuse, NY. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to perform laboratory testing and evaluation of electrical wiring device products in support of research, development, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on electrical/mechanical testing experience, the ability to troubleshoot test issues, and the ability to document and communicate results clearly to engineering and product stakeholders. This role will work within the Electrical Infrastructure business to follow, apply, and help improve test protocols and troubleshooting procedures; prepare test samples and equipment for evaluation; perform mechanical/endurance and electrical/electronic testing; and collect, record, and analyze test data using electronic test equipment and Microsoft Office tools.

Legrand is seeking a Test Engineer to support the development, certification, and quality assurance of electrical wiring device products. In this role, you will perform electrical, electronic, mechanical, reliability, and performance testing; prepare test samples and equipment; collect and analyze test data; and document results for engineering and business stakeholders. You'll collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Compliance teams to evaluate product designs, support certification efforts, and troubleshoot technical issues. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years of testing, compliance, or laboratory experience. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are required. Experience with electrical test equipment, product certification, and wiring devices is preferred. Travel up to 15%.
