Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer II to join the Value Engineering Team in Kenosha, WI. The Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for analyzing products, processes, and systems to improve value by reducing cost, optimizing performance, and maintaining or enhancing quality. This role partners with cross-functional teams, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

Project management skills will be honed on large scale projects, including project timeline creation, achieving product cost and budget targets, and providing presentations to the leadership team at each key milestone. This position reports to the Senior Engineering Manager in the sector.

Working closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, this role identifies opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and product enhancements throughout the product lifecycle. Responsibilities include managing large-scale projects, developing timelines, meeting cost and budget targets, creating design documentation, and presenting progress to leadership. The position supports new product development, conducts value analysis and engineering studies, evaluates alternative materials and suppliers, mitigates design risks, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. A hands-on approach, strong collaboration skills, and a focus on innovation, efficiency, and customer value are essential to success in this role.
