QA Software Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India; Hybrid

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a QA Software Engineer to join the Power and Thermal Management Division in Bengaluru, Karnataka/India. As a QA Software Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through manual and automated testing. You will create and maintain test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and defect reports, while collaborating closely with Software Engineering, Product Management, and other QA team members throughout the development lifecycle.

You will also contribute to test automation strategy, analyze automated test results, troubleshoot failures, and participate in technical and architecture discussions. AI-assisted engineering tools will be an important part of the role, supporting activities such as test design, automation development, debugging, defect investigation, and continuous improvement of QA processes.

This role focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through a combination of manual and automated testing. The individual develops and executes test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks, while identifying, documenting, and troubleshooting software defects throughout the development lifecycle. Working closely with software engineering, product management, and QA teams, the position supports continuous improvement of testing processes, automation coverage, and engineering practices. The role also leverages AI-assisted tools to enhance test design, automation development, debugging, defect investigation, and overall QA efficiency. Success in this position requires strong experience in software testing methodologies, test automation, CI/CD environments, scripting and programming, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to effectively evaluate and apply AI-generated recommendations to improve software quality and productivity.
