Embedded Systems Specialist II

Location: Markham, ON, Canada

At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for an Embedded Systems Specialist II to join the Wattstopper/Vantage Team in Markham, Ontario. You will execute successfully on software/firmware development for the Lighting and Building Systems (LBS) Division. To design, develop, integrate and test embedded firmware for lighting control products. This firmware will be highly reusable and designed to be leveraged across multiple LNCA Business Units as practicably as possible. Contribute detailed design, coding, integration, and testing skills/efforts in order to achieve product development functional requirements.

The Embedded Systems Specialist II designs, develops, integrates, and tests embedded firmware for advanced lighting control products, creating scalable and reusable software solutions that can be leveraged across multiple business units. This role collaborates on firmware architecture, product specifications, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring solutions meet functional, quality, and performance requirements. Responsibilities include firmware development, hardware and software integration, debugging, code reviews, test methodology development, and automated regression testing.
