About the Team
The Bespoke Projects team builds what the core product doesn't. When a client needs more than Roomvo out of the box, from global manufacturers to regional retail groups, we build them their own app, and each project is yours from the client brief to production, usually in weeks.
Recent work:
- An AI visualizer that drops a product into a scene straight from the retailer's page
- A colour builder for a commercial flooring line
- A flake-blend designer with a live WebGL preview
- A drawing tool for tracing walls and floors on room photos
- In-store screens where shoppers restyle rooms with AI
- A real estate gallery that restyles listing photos
About you
You like building whole products. You take a loose client request, turn it into something people enjoy using, and ship it. You are at home on both sides of the stack and care how a tool looks and feels as much as how it is built. You notice the misaligned icon and the awkward step in a flow, and you bring your own ideas to the designer. You set the bar high, lead by example, and know when to step aside and let the team run with the ball.
You want range. In a year here you might build a canvas editor, an in-store kiosk and a generative image pipeline. You go wherever the problem is, even into code another team owns.

What you'll do
- Own each project end-to-end: data model, UI, backend, release, and support after launch.
- Shape projects before the contract is signed: draft the plan, scope the work, and agree on APIs and integrations directly with the client's team. Your voice counts before and after launch.
- Build polished, interactive tools: product configurators, drawing tools, in-store displays, and experiences embedded in client websites you don't control.
- Work side by side with our designer: propose improvements, challenge a design when a better one exists, and get every detail right.
- Build products powered by generative AI.
- Follow a problem wherever it leads across our apps and services, including code that other teams own.
- Turn one-off apps into products that serve many clients.
- Set up the tests, lint rules, and agent instructions that let AI-written code ship safely.
- Ship every week, run it in production, and check that people actually use it.
- Raise the bar through code review, mentoring, and writing down decisions so others can build on them.
- Help us grow the team by taking part in hiring.
We’re looking for someone with
- 5+ years of software development experience building scalable systems
- Strong computer science fundamentals based on a degree in computer science or distinctive work experience in software development
- Strong understanding and experience with TypeScript, React and NextJS: you know how modern React renders, server vs client components, what runs where and why
- Full-stack: SQL schema design and server-side TypeScript. Python and Django are a big plus
- A sharp eye for UI and the confidence to push design ideas
- Strong focus on execution and delivery of the product
- Exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality and long-term goals
- Strong communication skills
- Daily use of AI coding tools, the judgement to check their work, and no fear of building the harness around them
- Not afraid of infrastructure: you change Kubernetes and Terraform config when a feature needs it
- A demonstrated ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support
- A leadership mindset. You take initiative, make decisions and deliver results consistently.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where learning and adaptability are key.

Expected salary range, Ontario based: $110,000 - $160,000 + other benefits.
