Job Location: Victoria (Headquarters) and Vancouver preferred, with flexibility for remote or hybrid arrangements.


What it means to be Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst, your primary responsibility is to collect and analyze data to identify trends and provide our leadership team with valuable information that we can use to drive growth across our marketing, operational, and business practices. You are expected to have a deep and thorough understanding of data analytics and possess strong analytical skills that provide sharp insights and actionable recommendations. You will take responsibility for managing our data analysis tools, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues. You will have a thorough understanding of different types of data analytics, such as descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive and how we can build upon these to drive growth across our SaaS product offering.


We get it, you want to know what you’re signing up for before you apply, right? This is what you need to know. As a Data Analyst  at Leadpages, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns 
  • Organizing and transforming information into comprehensible structures
  • Using data to predict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole
  • Performing statistical analysis of data
  • Using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
  • Monitoring data quality and recommending improvements to improve reliability
  • The ability to pay attention to detail when working with data in order to make accurate conclusions and predictions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with shareholders
  • A solid understanding of data sources, data organization and storage
  • Strong IT and mathematical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of relevant relational databases
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with marketing, sales, product, and engineering teams to understand business needs, define key metrics, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and methodologies in data analytics and proactively suggest improvements to existing processes.
  • Automated Reporting: Develop and maintain automated reporting dashboards that allow teams to access insights in real-time and reduce the manual effort of report generation.
  • A/B Testing: Design and analyze A/B tests to determine the effectiveness of marketing strategies, product features, and user experience changes.
  • Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reports and dashboards, maintaining adherence to internal data governance and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to convincingly articulate complex analytical ideas in a simple way to a variety of key stakeholders from different functions


After 1 Week

  • You will have completed your onboarding process and met with key members of the RevOps, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams.
  • You will have familiarized yourself with Leadpages’ data sources, analytics tools, and existing data infrastructure.
  • You will have reviewed current reports, dashboards, and key performance metrics used across the company.
  • You will have begun to understand our customer base, product offerings, and overall business objectives.
  • You will have started to identify immediate data issues and areas for improvement in data quality and reporting.

After 1 Month

  • You will have conducted a thorough assessment of our data analysis tools and processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for enhancement.
  • You will have established strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and challenges.
  • You will have begun organizing and transforming data into comprehensible structures for analysis.
  • You will have developed and delivered initial reports and visualizations that provide insights into customer behavior and business performance.
  • You will have started implementing improvements to data quality, ensuring greater reliability and accuracy.
  • You will have contributed to the development of automated reporting dashboards for key metrics, reducing manual reporting efforts.

After 3 Months

  • You will have fully integrated yourself into the team and are proactively collaborating with stakeholders to define key metrics and KPIs.
  • You will have designed and executed A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies, product features, and user experience changes.
  • You will have developed predictive models to forecast trends in customer behavior and business performance.
  • You will have implemented data governance protocols to ensure data accuracy.

  • Advanced Analytical Tools: Experience using advanced analytics and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) is a plus.
  • Experience with SaaS Metrics: Familiarity with key SaaS metrics such as LTV, CAC, MRR, and churn, and how to track and interpret these in the context of business growth.
  • Experience with Marketing Analytics: Exposure to analyzing marketing funnels, campaign performance, and customer segmentation using data analytics tools.
  • Experience with API Integrations: Understanding how to integrate various third-party tools and platforms (like CRM or marketing automation platforms) for data collection and analysis purposes.
  • Problem Solving: Proven ability to frame business problems, identify actionable insights from data, and effectively communicate those insights to influence decision-making.
  • Bachelors or advanced degree in IT, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of professional experience in data analytics or equivalent roles
  • A high degree of proficiency with Google Big Query Data Storage (SQL Queries)
  • A high degree of proficiency with Google Data Studio
  • A high degree of proficiency with MS Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience with data visualization tools
  • Understanding of online analytics tools helpful (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)
  • Knowledge of R and Python is a bonus
